Kevin J. Freeman, M.S., Geology, (Michigan State University, 1974). Senior Vice President, Managing Director ENTRIX, Inc., an environmental and natural resource management consulting company headquartered in Houston, TX. Kevin is a licensed geologist, engineering geologist, and hydrogeologist in Washington State, and a registered geologist and engineering geologist in Oregon. In his 33-year professional career, Kevin has conducted oil and gas exploration, pipeline siting and engineering studies, fault and seismicity hazard investigations, contaminated soil remediation and cleanup, landslide and slope stability hazard assessments, hydrogeological investigations, environmental impact analysis, and earthen dam design services. Course: Vashon 101 (The Geology, Water Resources, and Geologic Hazards of Vashon Island) Tom DeVries, Ph.D, Geology, (Ohio State University, 1986). Tom teaches a variety of science courses at Vashon High School, including freshman Physical Science, Environmental Science, Marine Science, and Molecular Evolution; and a UW course in Geology. He is an Adjunct Research Associate at the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture. Tom maintains an active research program in invertebrate paleontology in Peru, where he has completed 20 field seasons, including five months in 1999 as a Fulbright Scholar.
