To provide lifelong learning opportunities to meet the interests, needs, and requirements of our Island community and beyond.  To seek not only to provide our own programs, but to complement available programs and organizations.  To affiliate with other colleges and universities as well as libraries, community organizations, and businesses.

1892 (one of the oldest in Washington State)
1912 (classes suspended due to extensive fire)
February 23, 2005 (incorporated as a Washington State nonprofit)
2006 (classes resume with inaugural “Vashon 101”)
